Message from The Pastor

Dear Friends in Christ,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. You are the body of Christ.. Let nothing divide you. Do everything you can to preserve the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. I am giving you strong leadership through the Word so that you may follow Christ in deep humility in full of submission to Him. As you strive as one person for the sake of the gospel I have great joy.

You must keep your focus upward and outward. Please do this, not just because I love you but because Jesus loves you. His love compels us. Everything we do, we do please Him. Christ is our commanding officer and we follow Him wherever He leads and needs us.

You are dearly, dearly loved! Christ died for you. Even if you were the only person to ever live He would have done it all for you. In your baptism you are buried with Christ and you are raised with Him. Now you live in the power of that baptism every day. It is a daily death and resurrection.

In light of this, then continue to pray for the salvation of your two unchurched people. This is what I asked you to do last month and I am asking you again. Pray fervently that every member of COS have a ravishing hunger for the Word and to study that Word.

In Christ's Love, Pastor Genter

Pray for the Justices on the Supreme Court and for the continued liberty of the Church and her institutions. Ask that the Holy Spirit work to create spiritual renewal throughout our culture. The coming Supreme Court ruling on homosexual marriage will impact the culture strongly. The Solicitor General of the United States, supporting Homosexual Marriage, during hearings on the matter, acknowledged that if the Court rules there is a constitutional right to gay marriage that the tax exempt status of many religious institutions will need clarification in future years. Two LCMS websites speak to many issues currently being raised: &

A Healthy Flower:

  • naturally grows

  • reaches upward

  • does not live in darkness

  • handles pestilence

  • is fruitful

Jesus is calling Christians to the same.
